Alpinia purpurata
No fruit observed growing on the plant. The plant has pinkish red flowers. The plant has a subopposite leaf arrangement. The leaf venation is parallel. The plant's leaf is approximately 53 cm. long, and 5.5 cm. wide.
I found this plant next to a ditch, there were many other of the same spieces next to the plant. the plant also was next to many weeds.
On the plant were some ants, I think that they protect the plant. In return, the plant gives the ants nectar.
