Spotting

Description:

Very large. Leg span at longest point over 9 inches.

Habitat:

Rainforest. Resting on large log on edge of river tributary roughly 40-50 feet wide and 1-2 feet deep. Near Rio Blanco.

Notes:

What immediately struck me was the size. The very long legs appeared to stretch about 9-10 inches. Photo was taken from about 20 feet, and the spider quickly hid when I tried to get closer to photograph it with a size reference. The log is about 2 feet thick. The second spider in the lower right of the 3rd and 4th image was noticed only upon uploading the image. Any identification would be greatly appreciated.
