Yea! I believe you got it, it's a lacewing. Yes, it was very small, and didn't hang around long, or pose itself very conveniently so I had to be a bit of a contortionist and challenge the ol' joints.

If only we cold know the size of the apparently small creature... Guessing by the hair it should be very tiny. Thanks for sharing.

I happened to be carrying my camera when I felt a tickle on my left elbow. It was a little tricky to get the shot because I couldn't turn my left arm around enough and get the camera far enough away to actually see what I was doing so I just had to hold the camera up, point in the general direction and shoot. As suddenly as it was there, it was gone!
