Ardeola grayii
Also called Paddybird, these herons appear short and stocky, but in reality they sport long necks. This fella was the only one acquiring its breeding plumage, rich in colours - and the only one doing Yoga (picN°1). Non breeding plumage (here: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/42...) is mainly buff in colour, with stripped necks.
Seen in and around ponds in urban area in densely populated Cox's Bazar town, in backyard gardens on urban periphery. The area is close to the beach, a lot of urban gardens (vegetables and some paddy; as well as many ponds).
