Great Horned Owl

Bubo virginianus

Habitat:

Agricultural fields with large Tamarask Trees.

Notes:

While scanning through a large stand of tamarasks I found a nice pair of Great Horned Owls who allowed me to get great photos! Although this is one of the most widespread owls in the USA it was nice to see this species, yet again!

Thanks, Francisco! They are my favorite family of birds so I spend quite a bit of time studying them. More to come!
