Common african lizard, found in many habitats. Here, observed in various urban settings in Niger State of Nigeria.
Recently, there were some changes in classification inside the A. agama species, and a number of subspecies became species - the whole issue was/is rather confusing - I previously thought these, ound in Nigeria would belong to the A. africana species; but the range seems very off according to IUCN maps...
