In the Philippines we call these "Maya", and they can really ruin a rice crop if there are too many! But they are so cute! Rather elegant, I think.

Ahhh the Mighty Pipit... Padi farmers nightmare...lol...i love them, my yard is full of them and many birds.... nice pictures....
