Colias croceus
A sleepy Colias croceus, probably a male, spotted early in the morning, in a prairie in Nea Demetrias, Volos city, Greece. In southern Europe and North Africa they breed continuously throughout the year and they feed on a variety of leguminous plants, namely Faboideae. The species is a very common butterfly species in Greece.
