"Found from northern India through southern China to Indochina, the stunning Hairy Spathoglottis (Spathoglottis pubescens) is our Spotting of the Day! Spathoglottis is a genus of terrestrial orchids with mostly large and colorful flowers. The generic name refers to the tongue shape of the orchid's labellum. This genus was established in 1985 by the aptly named German-Dutch botanist Carl Ludwig Blume (Blume means flower in German)".
