Trifolium stellatum
Annual herb with taproot, nodules and erect or ascending stem less than 1 m tall. Leaves: Alternate, compound, trifoliate, dentate or serrate. Flowers: Zygomorphic, calyx 5-lobed and hairy, petals separate, corolla papilionaceous, petals clawed and white, pinkish to rose. Distribution: West Europe, Mediterranean region extending eastwards to Iran.
Sandy soils, edges of cultivation. Spotted in Seih-Sou, the suburban forest of Thessaloniki (Greece).
