Description:

Flat body, both eyes on one side, size upto 42 cm. Solitary. Feeds on fishes and crustaceans.

Habitat:

Sandy areas near coral & rock reefs, from 3 upto 40 metres depth.

Notes:

Occasional spotting off Isla de Coco (Cocos Island) - seen near Manuelita Island, north side of Isla de Coco
