Dainty Green Tree Frog

Litoria gracilenta

Description:

The Dainty Tree Frog is pale leaf green to pea green on back and yellow underneath. Eye has bright orange iris. Lips are yellow. Hind surface of thighs is bright purple or purple brown. Large toe pads. Other Names: Graceful Tree Frog Size: 4.5cm. This one pictured was approx. 1.2cm

Habitat:

Bushland with ponds, swamps and temporarily flooded situations. Common in gardens where it is often seen on foliage with legs tucked up to body and eyes closed.

Notes:

Food: insects and crustaceans. Breeding: Eggs laid singly or in small clumps attached to stems of vegetation in ponds.
