one of the most famous spring ephemerals in north america, Trilliums are extremely delicate flowers and difficult to cultivate outside of its natural habitat. even picking just the flower may kill the entire plant. it is illegal to pick trilliums in many areas

Habitat:

temperate deciduous forest

trilliums here were growing togther with ramps or wild leeks (allium tricocum)
