Spotted Salamander

Ambystoma maculatum

Description:

The spotted salamander, or yellow-spotted salamander, is a type of mole salamander. Eggs and larvae are fully aquatic, but adult spotted salamanders are terrestrial.

Habitat:

Found in Peru, Vermont These salamanders are living in a window well that is filled with wet leaves. Unfortunately there was also golden retriever fur that floated into the wells.
