Cicada Killer Wasp

Sphecius speciosus


Fairly large wasp, flying around a garden, and consistently landing in the same spot, likely where it's nest was (before being destroyed). This wasp will paralyze cicada's (hence the name) and feed to larvae in underground tunnels.
