Spotting

Description:

Spindly little spider with a yellow abdomen with horizontal brown stripes. Brown legs. Thin, elongated body shape. Found in an orb-shaped web.

Habitat:

Tall grass near arroyo

Notes:

I couldn't believe what this spider was doing. Bits of white fluff from nearby trees had accumulated on its web, making the web conspicuous (the only reason I noticed it in all that grass). The spider was going around and carefully removing the fluff! It tossed pieces of it down and away from the web.
