Trachypithecus obscurus

Description:

This group of Dusky Leaf Monkey - Trachypithecus obscurus lives in secondary forest near to residential area. They often come down to the residential area to feed in fruiting trees planted by residents. Some seasonal fruiting trees like Rambutans can be a favourite among them and they can be seen visiting the same trees regularly over a period of time, usually in the morning and late afternoon. They moves easily from place to place and crossing roads safely by walking on electrical wires.

Habitat:

Secondary forest near to urban areas.
