White Dragontail

Lamproptera curius

Description:

Papilionid of about 5cm wingspan. Dark brown/black base colouration with an oblique white line on each side almost as long as the body; forewings are mostly translucent ; hind wings display an array of tiny white spots towards the tip of the abdomen and the long white-tipped tails.

Habitat:

Found mud-puddling in tropical rainforest in northern Laos.
