Description:

Two days ago I saw what looked like a white chickens egg or large puffball in the grass under trees. Today, I smelled something like a dead animal (fetid) and discovered this 7 inch long mushroom with a slimy green head. The stem is pitted and white. has a veil. Took a picture by my foot sized 7 to show size.

Habitat:

Under deciduous trees and stumps, single or in clumps.

Notes:

Worst smell in the world.
