Broad-nosed Weevil

Description:

Small patterned broad-nosed weevil, 5 mm in length. All the color comes from thousands of tiny round scales. The front femora are greatly enlarged and the front legs are also much longer than the middle and hind pairs. Family Curculionidae, Subfamily Entiminae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
