Calopteron cf. reticulatum
Stunning insect. I mistook it for a dragonfly or owlfly maybe, but the antennae told differently.
Mark, it really could be Calopteron reticulatum, but threre are others around. The differences are sometimes quite subtle. We may take Calopteron cf. reticulatum as a compromise, what do you think?
Lycidae, Lycinae, Calopteron sp., could be Calopteron reticulatum, but there are many others and very similar looking ones around. I think with Calopteron sp. we are on the safe side.
