Description:

A male robber fly (Eutolmus rufibarbis) with prey a female horse fly (Tabanus of the glaucopis species group). The last (5th) photo is taken just some seconds before the attack to the horse fly.

Habitat:

Mountain grassland (1600 m.a.s.l.)

Exactly Tania! I was photographing a usual robber-fly and the next moment, without even realizing it, I saw it on a horsefly with these beautiful bared eyes. Thanks for your kind comment!
