Garlic mustard

Alliaria petiolata

Description:

Growing in patches along the trail below 1200 feet. Possibly something in the genus Heuchera? I am at a real loss.

Habitat:

Alongside the trail amidst green briar.

Yea, it was immediately apparent it was a bad guess. It had a habit of growing in a similar way, and has fringes on the leaves, but the leaves on strawberries are less round and grow in threes. I really could figure the mystery out so it was a wild guess.

I can tell you that this is not a wild strawberry. Will try to think of, if I can identify these leaves.
