Fowler's Toad

Bufo [Anaxyrus] fowleri

Description:

Dry, warty skin. Short legs. Specimen fairly small, approximately 2 inches long. Gray-brown in color with black spots. Three bumps inside one of the black spots on the toad's back, one of the identification factors for Fowler's Toads.

Habitat:

Georgia Piedmont

Notes:

Found in Indian Springs State Park on the Overland Nature Trail after heavy rains.
