Striped skunk

Description:

The striped skunk is characterized by prominent, longi- tudinal white stripes that run down the back. The fur is otherwise jet black. The body of the striped skunk is about the size of an ordinary house cat (up to 29 inches long and weighing about 8 pounds) with short, stocky legs and proportionately large feet. The striped skunk is equipped with well-developed claws for digging.

Habitat:

North American. Just about everywhere.
