Coral hawkfish

Cirrhitichthys oxycephalus

Description:

Bright red to orange, transparent tail and dorsal fins. Upto 10 cm long.

Habitat:

Perches on its pelvic fins on coral and rocks. Hides inside the coral. Found upto 36 mtrs depth.

Notes:

Getting this picture right without touching the coral was quite an undertaking - luckily enough this was on a sandy bottom so that I had a stable basis.
