Equus burchellii
An very rare spotted foal, first seen mid September by others and we were so very lucky to come across it on the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The spots are believed to be due to a genetic mix up.
A plains zebra on savannah with a large herd.
The map pin position for this spotting has been modified by Project Noah, and does not reflect the original spotting location.

What a rare sight. Congratulations!
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
