Lichen Moth

Barsine nangkwak

Description:

Bright crimson red wings. It has a black band on its forewing which tapers forward and ends 1/3rd short on it. Wing length: 15 mm.

Habitat:

Mixed forests of pines, cherry, bamboo and other. Warm to cool place.

Notes:

This moth had visited our terrace light kept on for them. At first I thought it was a bug. It very much mimics Barsine cardinalis Hampson, 1900!
