Description:

Very striking. Orangish-rust in colour with inverted V shaped stripes in black and white. Elongated, slender beak. Crest on head that is raised sometimes especially when the bird is alerted!.

Habitat:

On a tree in a residential area. I spotted it from my terrace...it was at least two roads away. My zoom maxed out and I got the shots when the breeze parted the fronds of the coconut leaves.

Notes:

These are migratory. I see them in winter but not every year.
