Odocoileus hemionus
Mule Deer fawn spotted at the Capulin Volcano National Monument, NM. At the very end of this set, as the fawn ran off, a second one came out of the bushes and joined it.

Fantastic pics!
Lovely series - they must hear just about everything with those ears !! Thanks for sharing this SargonR.
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
Thank you SarahWhitt. This photo was taken near dusk, we almost gave up and left the National Monument without seeing anything, but as is often the case there are some perks to being the last ones left when it gets quiet and the animals think everyone has gone home!
How ADORABLE!! Great spotting, SargonR! :)
