Description:

The female ring-necked duck is a brown bird with light brown sides. Has a gray face and a dark brown crown. White eye ring. Wing ring around a light blue bill. Top of head is peaked. Male looks totally different.

Habitat:

This female ring-necked duck was spotted in the marsh at St Marks National Wildlife Refuge in St Marks, Florida.
