Project Noah Nature School
Found in back yard
There's a good chance it's Boletus chrysenteron, but without more of it to go on I can't be sure.
Hi Tammy. Welcome to Project Noah. This is a nice picture here. Do you have any other views of this mushroom? It is often helpful to have multiple angles of organisms to help with identifying them. I agree with arlanda, this looks like a Boletus mushroom. It should be moved to the Fungi category. You can do this by editing your spotting. If you haven't already, please read through the FAQ page. There are basic directions for posting spots and what goes in each of the areas (like scientific name, description, etc.).http://www.projectnoah.org/faqIf you don't know the scientific name of something, just leave that area blank. Hopefully, you can find it or someone else might be able to help!If you have questions you can always email us or stop by in the chats.
Nice spotting Tammy Eves. It is a Boletus but it is hard to say which species. By the way, you should classify it as fungus, you have it as a plant. Welcome to Project Noah!!
