Turkey Tail is one of the most common mushrooms in North American woods. It's found nearly anywhere that there are hardwood stumps and, occasionally, on conifer wood too. Its cap colors vary, but tend to be in the brown and reddish brown range. This one had a bluish/purple coloration.
