A bird flew into a glass door at home. Died on impact. :(

This is a fledgling Northern Mockingbird.

The bird itself was about the size of my hand, the legs were pretty long.

It would not surprise me if I found a nest somewhere close. Last year we had a few nests around our house. I believe this one flew into the glass. I heard a loud thump and went to look. I found the bird on the ground and there was a circle of blood on the glass. That's what I was taking a picture of in one of the photos. I hate to see that happen. I will look more closely for nests.

That looks like a young bird did a nest fall or nest near where this was taken?
