Grey Coral

Clavulina cinerea

Description:

A branched purplish-grey coral with many flattened branches ending in blunt tips. The branches were furrowed and had tinges of pink. Spore print was white.

Habitat:

Observed growing on damp compacted soil near a track just outside the Dandenong Ranges NP.

Notes:

These were the darkest climps I have seen of this species. Family: Clavulinaceae
