Description:

A big red ant about 40mm in size, black abdomen, powerful and elongated mandibles and relatively large compound eyes. They are characterised by their extreme aggressiveness, ferocity, and painful stings, the venoms from these ants are among the most toxic in the insect world.

Habitat:

Australian bush area near Perth. Almost all species in the genus Myrmecia are found in Australia and its coastal islands
