Green Frog

Lithobates clamitans

Description:

Green frogs are medium in size, with mature females usually being larger than the males. The dorsolateral ridges distinguish the green frog from the bullfrog, which lacks them.

Habitat:

I spotted this frog in a small pond at Boyd Audubon in Litchfield, CT. It's hard to see in the picture, but it has some kind of small insect in its right eye.
