Description:

Mourning Doves also known as Turtle Doves or Rain Dove. Recognised for an owl-like coo that can be heard throughout the spring and summer months in Toronto. These birds have light grey feathers with darker grey tail feathers. The head is either grey or light blue-grey. They are often seen in pairs or small flocks. When in flight their wings give off a soft whinnying sound.
