Hairy Caterpillar Moth

Description:

Has a wingspan of about 4cm. Wings are pale brown/pinky colour with black markings. Body was bright red and parts of it's legs bright yellow. Thorax also has a black streak. Males of these moths have 4 coremata (Organs at the end of the abdomen of male moths that can be everted to expose tufts of hair which disperse pheromones).

Habitat:

Attracted to black light in suburban backyard.
