Black bellied whistling duck

Dendrocygna autumnalis

Description:

Brown and gray in color with a red bill that has a gray marking at the tip. Long legs that appear salmon in color.

Habitat:

I spotted this handsome fellow on top of a house in my neighborhood. They are often found on the roofs of houses in my neighborhood in the early morning hours, or at dusk. In the past we have seen parent ducks and ducklings walking in the neighborhood. Their is a pond not too far away from where we live.
