Common Carp

Cyprinus carpio

Description:

Two carp (I think) sitting near the shore. They had large greenish gray or almost golden scales and red fins.

Habitat:

Sitting in a dug-out stagnant side channel of the river, right at the edge.

Notes:

The fish were seen splashing around right by the shore in the distance before they were approached. Afterwards, they appeared to swim out into the river.
