Multi-stemmed tree with bunches of bright red berries, and opposite pinnate serrated leaves.

Habitat:

Landscaped area near parking lot surrounded by deciduous forest.

Notes:

At the parking lot area at the top of the Newfound Gap road where it crosses the North Carolina/Tennessee state line.
