Green Crab

Carcinus maenas


Tiny blue crab (about 3 cm). The carapace has five short teeth along the rim behind each eye, and three undulations between the eyes, so even though this is not the typical coloration, I am pretty sure the ID is correct. I think perhaps it is because it is so young that it is so blue


Found it crawling in a rocky tide pools at low tide.
