Description:

Very large moths. Fairly bright yellow with red (burgundy) mottled patterns. This spotting was a night. That is a Canadian one dollar coin (a loonie) in the photo for size reference.

Habitat:

This spotting occurred in a wooded area along the Trent-Severn waterway near Bala, Ontario, Canada.
