Lichen Moth

Lyclene prominens Moore, 1878

Habitat:

Mixed forests of cherry, pines and garden shrubs.

Notes:

This moth was spotted on the trunk of a cherry tree while on way back home from my clinic. Normally it keeps its wings closed, however in this case it has kept its wings partially open, may be due to the low temperature that day after a shower.
