Olivar's Squat Lobster

Description:

A small crab/squat lobster, less than 1 cm, usually hiding in small holes of coral rubble and rocks. Seldom seen outside its home, usually only see its head perching at the entrance of its home waiting for prey to pass by. Before it was officially described with its common name of Olivar's Squat Lobster, it was also called Google-eyed Squat Lobster and Bug-eyed Squat Lobster. It also has a nick name of Robocrab!

Habitat:

Shallow reefs among crevices of coral rocks.
