This snowy white clam lerp contained the nymph of a psyllid. The shape seems unusually undifferentiated as most have distinctive eyes and wing buds in late instars. The lerp is unusual in containing a chamber housing the largest nymph. The younger instars evident under the same lerp are more clearly differentiated. The larger one seems to occupy a central chamber.
On the leaf of a eucalyptus.
I wonder if the smaller instars will take over this position when the large psyllid insect leaves? Typical shape of lerp psyllid insect nymph http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/880... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/213...
