Green margined entoloma

Entoloma viridomarginata

Description:

Difficult to see in mixed grasses with moss and lichens this one was about 60mm tall. Colour except for white gills was a deeep teal including the gill margins which is an identifying feature.

Habitat:

Found at the edge of a local national park just off a rough vehicular track. Many other species were very close by. Apparently growing from soil.

Notes:

These are extremely variable in colour including cream, yellow, aqua, olive, green, blue and teal and sometimes combinations of these. Check out the gallery on ALA here.. https://bie.ala.org.au/species/https://i...
E viridomarginatum is used on some taxos and viridomarginata on others creates a potential problem.
