Western Tiger Swallowtail

Description:

This caterpillar just eclosed from the egg sac in the background. It mimics a bird dropping with a white saddle in the middle.

Habitat:

Peach tree leaf in the backyard. This was about 20 feet from the orange tree that I spotted a Giant Swallowtail cat on.
