Description:

Common European species, reddish with white belly.

Habitat:

It's springtime and these beauties can be seen almost everywhere, in any wooded area in Geneva lake's valley, situated between Alps and Jura range. Here in a wooded area of town park in France (pics 1 and 2), and in protected woods, "Bois de la Maille", just across the border in Switzerland. All wooded areas are mixed woods.
